Bengkulu is a small town on the southeast coast of Sumatra. Not touristy at all but very nice. It was interesting for me to get to it as our little bus broke down shortly after leaving Central Sumatra. With the joint efforts of a small group of locals, the driver, passengers and me, we drove on. It was fun after all. In the small hotel, as in the rest of the town, everyone was super polite and kind. I love these non-tourist trips! Although you can always and everywhere find something to see, such as here there is a fort. And in general, a lot of interesting things. I liked the city of Bengkulu.
